Research Process

Official city and agency materials — including department pages, press releases, budgets, council minutes, procurement documents, meeting agendas, public notices, and annual reports.
Apparatus manufacturers and dealers — including specification sheets, brochures, delivery announcements, production listings, and official manufacturer updates.
Public records and open data — including fleet inventories, capital improvement plans, purchase documents, GIS records, and other government-published datasets.
News and trade publications — including credible fire service, EMS, law enforcement, municipal government, and public safety industry reporting.

Accuracy & Updates

Living Records

Code 3 Wiki makes a good-faith effort to keep information accurate and current. Public safety fleets, station assignments, apparatus statuses, staffing, and agency structures can change without immediate public notice.

Assignments may change because of maintenance, reserve status, temporary relocation, or operational needs.
Historical records may differ between official sources, archived documents, news coverage, and agency statements.
Unconfirmed information is identified as estimated, pending, or requiring verification.

Images & Media

Attribution

Logos, photographs, graphics, and other media remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance on Code 3 Wiki is for reference, identification, illustration, and informational purposes.

Where feasible, captions identify the photographer, agency, manufacturer, or original owner.
Creative Commons material, official media kits, public information releases, and agency-approved images are preferred.
Images may be displayed through view-only galleries or at reduced resolution to discourage unauthorized redistribution.
